shite bands that filled up the pages in Melody Maker not occupied by "our" bands/part 4
Good one, thanks. I remember that band being inescapable for a brief while, if only because of the massive States-side promo push behind them. As campaigns go, it was near-hegemonic in scale -- radio, print, and MTV. As if the label was sparing no expense to let us all know that they had a Staggeringly Significant Artist on their hands.
